Richmond County Court Docket Office

Richmond County Court Docket Fees

Richmond County has specific fees for court docket records and services. Certified copies cost $10 per document. Exemplified copies, which carry a triple seal and are used for out-of-state proceedings, cost $25 plus the certification fee. Standard uncertified copies cost $0.65 per page.

Filing a new Supreme Court case requires an index number at $210. A statewide Criminal History Record Search through the Office of Court Administration costs $95.00 per name and covers all 62 counties. Results come by email the next business day.

The exemplification fee is worth knowing about. If you need to use a Richmond County court document in another state, you will likely need an exemplified copy. That costs $25 on top of the certification fee. Courts in other states usually require this level of authentication to accept New York court records as evidence.

Note: Civil Court and Criminal Court fees on Staten Island may differ from Supreme Court fees, as CPLR § 8019 sets separate standards for courts other than Supreme and County Courts.
