As Clerk of the Supreme and County Courts, the office keeps all case filings and docket entries. Queens County is one of the busiest clerk's offices in the state. The volume of cases filed here each year is very high. Under Judiciary Law § 255, the County Clerk must maintain and give public access to all court docket records. One thing to know about Queens County is the copy pricing. The standard rate is $0.65 per page, but there is a minimum charge of $1.50 per document. So even a single-page copy costs at least $1.50. Personal checks are not accepted. Plan to pay with cash, money order, or certified check. Divorce decree copies require authorization from one of the parties to the case, which is different from most other court docket records that are open to the public.

Queens County Court Docket Fees
Queens County charges $0.65 per page for copies of court docket records, with a minimum of $1.50 per document. Certified copies cost $5.00 per page. These fees apply to all court documents, including docket sheets, judgments, and case filings. Personal checks are not accepted.
Filing a new Supreme Court case requires an index number at $210. A statewide Criminal History Record Search through the Office of Court Administration costs $95.00 per name. Results come by email the next business day. That search covers all 62 New York counties.
Divorce decrees in Queens County require special handling. You need authorization from one of the parties to the divorce before the clerk will release a copy. This is different from most other court docket records, which are open to anyone. The one major exception in Queens is divorce decrees, which require party authorization.
